Kasese Area on 6th of August 2022 commenced the implementation of New Water source construction works at River Kyanzutsu, an intervention aimed at adding volumes of water to the existing Kilembe Treatment Plant.

By 25th August 2022 the team had successfully completed phase 1 of the Dam construction and now raw Water has been channeled back to the original River path with current results indicating great success as the anticipated volumes are witnessed. 

The Area is now embarking on phase 2 works of constructing a sedimentation tank also anticipated to be completed by end of September 2022.
