Everywhere they go, the National Water and Sewerage Corporation’s Board of Directors has made it their mission to inspire, encourage and guide the various corporation staff in their respective areas. While at a stopover in Kyankwanzi during one of their familiarisation tours of NWSC Area offices and instalments in the central region, the Board Chairman representative, Mr. George Runge (BOD member) and his entourage met the Kyankwanzi staff and it is then that they had the opportunity to appreciate the team for their tireless efforts to ensure Water for all in the area.

The BOD then cautioned the staff against compromising their integrity, encouraging them to always better themselves for the good of the corporation and one’s country as they can rectify career-limiting traits let alone compromise their homeland and future in general.

The message was simply for one to consciously replace ineffective behaviour with a deliberate, thought-out alternative action and loyalty to the corporation and country let alone give one a sense of purpose in life as well as accountability for one’s decisions and actions.

Notably, counsel was not all the BOD had to dish out, but awe too after being treated to a number of tours to the area’s installation and ongoing projects such as; the Water Treatment Plant site located 4km from the in-take, the proposed site where the planned 300,000-litre reservoir is to be constructed and, the proposed intake at River Mayanja, where 3,500,000 litres of water are to be abstracted per day for pumping to the new Water Treatment Plant.

It was in order for the BOD to extend gratitude to NWSC’s partners, helping the corporation keep its promise of Water for all to the people. In the Kyankwanzi area, the National Leadership Institute (NALI) has been outstandingly supportive after they allowed for NWSC to erect a reservoir on their land. The BOD was utterly gratified and sincerely appreciated NALI through the commandant, for their generosity.
