The battle for a place in the top eight intensified as the Fitness and Wellness Challenge entered Matchday Five at Kampala Quality Primary School grounds in Kanyanya, with teams beginning to feel the pressure of the approaching knockout stages.
It was a packed day of action, with more than 60 fixtures played across football and several other sporting disciplines, as participants continued to compete for crucial points and bragging rights.
On the football pitch, the goals flowed. More than 35 were scored across the day’s matches, with several teams producing commanding performances to strengthen their positions in the race for qualification.
There was plenty of action off the pitch too. Sizeable crowds turned up to rally behind their teams, while staff also took part in the different games and activities that form part of the wider Fitness and Wellness Challenge.
With the competition now heading towards its decisive stages, Matchday Five produced several results that could prove crucial in determining who makes the coveted top eight.
