Kampala Water is tasked with providing clean and safe water to the greater Kampala Metropolitan, and it has had to implement various interventions over the years to meet the increasing demand for water due to the rapid population growth and urbanization in the area, for instance KW has carried out; Expansion of water treatment plants, Rehabilitation of old water infrastructure, wide spread stakeholder engagements and so much more.

The KW-Senior Manager Water Supply, Eng. Francis Kateeba matches on in the same spirit, engaging potential customers to realize the corporation’s commitment to and promise of “Water for All” as he and his entourage of engineers; Eng. Francis Bbaale, Ms. Allen and the Branch Engineer-Nakawa, pitched camp at offices of Vaccine Access Initiative in Ntinda to intervene and resolve the need for water and therefore possible connection to the KW family.

According to the Vaccine Access Initiative-Director Projects, Nathan Barigye, the Microhaem Scientifics of medical suppliers, is investing in health sector diagnosis and prevention as they look forward to constructing a diagnostic factory that will consume 150 litres of water per hour.

“It’s an urgent project so we need assurance and commitment from National Water and Sewerage Corporation that they will provide us with what we need for consumption.” Stated Mr. Barigye.

Eng. Kateeba and his team were ecstatic about getting such a big account on board and sought inspection of the building, and the network line so as to plan better.
