To extend clean and safe water to the community in Mayuge district, World Vision in partnership with NWSC constructed two (2) piped water systems; in Bukaboli and Bukatube.
The Bukaboli piped water system is operational with a reservoir tank capacity of 150,000 liters, 58 Public Stand Pipes and 50 yard taps. The system has a network of about 22kms supplying 13 villages and 12 institutions which is aimed at increasing billing and water sales in the area.
It’s upon this background that a joint inspection team that included the Iganga Area Manager – John Turibamwe, Area Engineer – Allan Abaho, and the various stakeholders inspected the system in preparations for a handover process to National water and Sewerage Cooperation – Mayuge Area, for operation and maintenance.
NWSC is committed to and will keep its promise of Water for All.
