PREPARATIONS FOR WORLD BANK NILE PROJECT ADVANCES IN ADJUMANI

Newly appointed Area Manager-Adjumani, Mr. Ghona Paul is on a very deliberate mission to grow NWSC’s business in the Area especially after conducting thorough feasibility studies on all the possible intake points under feasibility studies along Albert Nile i.e at Liri, Opejo, Ogujebe, Itialo and the option of picking from River Ayugi in affiliation to the yet to commence World Bank Nile project.

This, Mr. Ghona did with the help of the resident Engineer for the World Bank Nile project as well as the Area Engineer, Mr. Tonny Otim.

This exercise was done in order acquaint themselves with possible barriers that might necessitate legal requirements. The team also intended to attain knowledge of any constraints causing delays in submission of draft feasibility study report as well as addition of possible six sources for ground water extraction in areas of Mungula, Pagirinya settlement camp and Ayilo.

Mr. Ghona and his team went on to visit all the potential project areas of Dzaipi, Pakele, Unni, Ciforo, Pachara and settlement camps among others.

The World Bank Nile project will definitely increase NWSC’s ability to serve new towns and grow business for Adjumani Area.
