OVER 5000 SCHOOL CHILDREN TO BENEFIT FROM HANDWASHING FACILITIES

National Water and Sewerage Corporation joined the Rotary club of Nsangi, Kulai Malaysia, Pa-te Mei-te Taiwan and that of Moriata Australia to provide hand washing facilities for over 5000 school children in Nsangi on Wednesday 9 th 2021.

The commissioned water harvesting systems benefited a total of 6 schools; Nsangi Primary School, Nsangi Secondary School, St. Joseph’s Primary School Nabbing, St. Joseph’s Primary School May, Makamba CoU Primary School and, Namagoma UMEA Primary School.

Representing the NWSC’s Managing Director was Senior Manager Public Relations, Mr. Samuel Apedel who said that the partnership is in line with the corporation’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods in not only the communities that NWSC serves but Uganda at large.

The facilities will promote hand washing, sanitation and health in the Schools with each beneficiary receiving 2 Tanks with a capacity of 10000 liters (one for general water collection and another for toilet WASH aspects) fully loaded with water after a heavy down power early this week.
