The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has garnered high praise from Mubende LCV Chairman, Mr. Michael Ntambi Muhereza. This was during a visit made to his office by the Senior Manager Operations-Central, Eng. Moses Bigabwa, along with the Mubende Area Team.

During the meeting aimed at discussing ongoing and future initiatives aimed at improving water services in the district, Mr. Muhereza expressed his deep appreciation for NWSC’s comprehensive approach to service delivery, particularly commending NWSC Managing Director, Dr. Eng. Silver Mugisha, for his active participation in meetings with district leaders.

“The NWSC team in Mubende has shown exceptional dedication and effective communication in addressing water issues as they arise,” Mr. Muhereza noted.

The Chairman also highlighted the unprecedented growth in Mubende due to ongoing oil activities, which has significantly strained existing facilities, and therefore called on NWSC to expand its services to ensure that the burgeoning population has access to clean and safe water.

Eng. Bigabwa responded affirmatively to the Chairman’s concerns, acknowledging the crucial role of collaboration in service delivery. He highlighted that over 80% of Mubende’s water supply is sourced from NWSC. “We are committed to extending water services to other towns within Mubende and supporting the Chairman’s efforts in establishing hybrid systems,” Eng. Bigabwa assured.

Notably, the collaboration between NWSC and Mubende District has already led to significant improvements in water supply and sanitation services, greatly benefiting the local community.

In the words of Mr. Muhereza, “Together, we can ensure that no one in Mubende is left behind.
