The Kampala Water (KW) has successfully installed and commissioned new pumps at Rubaga and Namirembe aimed at elevating service delivery in the aforementioned sectors and surrounding areas. This good was made known during the KW weekly section heads’ meeting chaired by the Ag. General Manager, Eng. James Maitek, at the region’s Headquarters on Jinja Road.
On an even brighter note, the installations have already yielded positive outcomes, resulting in heightened customer satisfaction.
As the meeting continued, the attendees engaged in a brainstorming session to generate ideas aimed at enhancing sustainable service delivery, staff performance, and business growth before the end of the fiscal year. In his address, Eng. Maitek urged the team to devise organized strategies to boost performance in key areas such as water sales and billing. He emphasized achieving a minimum of 2% positive growth and aiming for an 80% or higher response rate from all branches.
In addition to fostering growth in the region, he restated the importance of prompt task response, charging section heads with ongoing supervision to ensure tasks are completed effectively. He further addressed factors contributing to NRW, thus calling for immediate actions to ensure that it is reduced to at least 35%.
Kampala Water remains steadfastly focused on accelerating service delivery.
