NWSC MD MAKES HISTORY AS FIRST AFRICAN TO RECEIVE GSGS AMBASSADOR AWARD

A remarkable feat of recognition comes as, Dr. Eng. Silver Mugisha, the Managing Director of the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC), is bestowed with the prestigious *Global Sanitation Graduate School Ambassador Award*, in recognition of his exceptional dedication and significant contributions to the mission and vision of the Global Sanitation Graduate School (GSGS).

Presented by Prof. Damir Brdjanovic, PhD, the award is the institution’s form of acknowledgement of Dr. Eng. Mugisha’s outstanding service as a member of the Program Advisory Board for the Master of Science Program at IHE Delft, a position he held for a commendable four-year tenure during which his insightful contributions undoubtedly enriched the academic landscape and propelled the advancement of sanitation education.

Of notable significance is the exclusivity magnitude of this honor, with only ten recipients, among whom Dr. Eng. Silver Mugisha proudly stands as the inaugural African awardee. This groundbreaking achievement elevates his individual merit and also symbolizes a vital milestone in the representation of African excellence in Water and Sanitation Management on the global stage.

In addition to this prestigious accolade, Dr. Eng. Mugisha’s delegation received tokens of appreciation from Prof. Brdjanovic, as a way of sharing in the collective pride of the NWSC.
