KAMPALA WATER LAUNCHES THE CUSTOMER RECONNECT PROGRAM

Customer Re-Connect is a four months program by NWSC that is for the sole purpose of providing an opportunity for NWSC customers who have been off the grid across all its business areas to get backonto supply.

In Kampala Water, a core area of operation for NWSC the program was launched on 02.03.2021 across all its Branches and awareness of the program was raised to the public through a well-televised press conference. Below you will find some of the frequently asked questions and the answers;

Most frequent questions and answers
  • NWSC Customers whose accounts have been supressed due to: accumulated non-payment arrears, illegal connections, leakages after the meter leading to high bills, heavy fines from illegal connections, unsatisfactory service status among others.
  • The customer should commit to get back on supply by paying a reconnection fee of Ugx
    5000.
  • Negotiate a flexible payment periods
  • Customers will be granted amnesty for illegal connections
  • Customers who were found tampering with meters that were vandalized will be provided
    with free meters.
  • Customers will enjoy waivers on reconnection fees

The Customer Reconnect program provides an opportunity for all NWSC customers to enjoy clean, safe water especially during this COVID period where water plays a big role in its fight.
