WORKERS’ PRACTICAL ACQUIRED SKILLS REFRESHER TRAINING CONCLUDED IN THE NORTHERN REGION

10th May 2022 saw the successful completion of National Water and Sewerage Corporation’s Workers’ PAS (Practical Acquired Skills) refresher training for Northern region in Arua – West Nile.

The program that was organized by the NWSC Training Department, started with a 2-day training in Kitgum on 4-5th May 2022, extended to Gulu on 6-7th May 2022 and the finale in Arua on 9-10th May 2022. 

The training is part of Management and the Board’s drive geared towards re-skilling and retooling of NWSC staff to achieve improved service delivery in line with strategic priority area No.4 of Skilling and workforce development under the Corporate Plan 2021- 2024.

The training was facilitated by trainers from the Vocational Training School at Ggaba and the Trainees will be assessed and certified by DIT under the Ministry of Education and Sports.

Over 78 Plumbers and Technicians from the Areas of Kitgum, Pader, Apac/Aduku, Gulu, Adjumani, Arua, Nebbi/Paidha, Pakwach, Moyo and Koboko, benefited from this training.
