UTILITY COURT SENTENCES KITAKA ALI TO PRISON FOR TAMPERING WITH WATER WORKS, THEFT, AND TRESPASSING

Kitaka Ali has been sentenced to a 15-month prison term following a court hearing. Her Worship, Lady Nambozo Sanula, delivered the verdict after the accused changed his plea to guilty on all three counts.

The charges against Kitaka Ali include; tampering with works, theft of water meters and criminal trespass. Initially, the accused had pleaded not guilty to the charges and was remanded, with the file transferred to court for the next hearing.

In preparation for the court proceedings, State Prosecutor Judith Nyamwiza and the Kampala Water in-charge of court process, Counsel Bongomin Emmanuel, held a meeting with the NWSC witness, Kintu David Mulumira. Whose testimony played a significant role in the case.
