Hon. John Okea, Tororo District Chairperson, has praised the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) for its proactive efforts to address water supply issues in the district. During a site visit for the ongoing Kisoko booster station project on August 21st, 2023, Hon. Okea, accompanied by NWSC Tororo Area Manager Mr. Ogwench George, expressed strong approval of the project’s progress.

This visit came just ahead of his planned tour of the Morukatipe booster station, which is nearing completion with 95% of the work finished. Notably, the Kisoko station’s development, in particular, promises to be a significant enhancement to water infrastructure and therefore supply in the district.

In a subsequent meeting at the Tororo Youth Centre with Peta Sub-county leaders and Mr. Ongwech, Hon. Okea restated his appreciation for NWSC’s efforts while highlighting the critical role these booster stations will play in stabilising water supply across Kisoko and Morukatipe. Mr. Ongwech further emphasised that the completion of these stations will provide substantial relief from water scarcity, which is affecting several villages in the area.

NWSC continues to advance its mission of ensuring reliable access to clean water for all.
