The Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Water and Environment (MoWE), Mr. Alfred Okot Okidi officiated at the 1st Multi-Sectoral Steering Committee for the Irrigation for Climate Resilience Project (ICRP).
The main objective of the Project, is to provide farmers in the project areas with access to irrigation and other agricultural sources and, to establish management arrangements for irrigation service delivery.
Notably, this the Irrigation for Climate Resilience Project (ICRP) is being implemented by the Ministry of Water and Environment through Water for Production Department and, being funded by World Bank.
The meeting was also attended by the Commissioner Water for Production Department, Eng. Kimanzi Gilbert, Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries(MAAIF), Ministry of Local Government(MOLG) and Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MOFPED) Officials among others.
