The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) Managing Director Dr. Eng Silver Mugisha shared the NWSC success factors and their corporation strategic intentions during a panel discussion in the Peer to Peer Strategies for Performance workshop held in Madrid, organized by the Global Water Leaders Group.
He highlighted the success factors for NWSC’s turnaround story and what the future holds for the Corporation.
The workshop was a pre-event session that is part of the three-day Global Water Leaders’ summit that is running from 16th to 18th May 2020 at the Novetel Center Hotel Madrid under the Theme, “WATER POSITIVE ZERO CARBON.”
The panel discussion centered on “Reflections on the importance and value of utility turnarounds and the offering of the Urban Water Catalyst Fund in support of turnarounds”. It was moderated by World Bank’s Dr. Rolfe Eberhard to an audience that included over 25 water and wastewater utility leaders (CEOs, MDs, GMs, etc.) from emerging economies.
Also in attendance was Kampala Water General Manager Eng. Mahmood Lutaaya, who also indulged in a panel discussion on “The value and sources of experiential knowledge in supporting utility turnarounds”.
