The Vocational Skills Development Facility (VSDF) instructors delivered desired fittings and tools at the Scripture Union training camp, Kawuku where tens of Kampala Water staff are undergoing a refresher training aimed at triggering new work methods in the field, and subsequently improving service delivery, and customer user experience in the field.

The fittings with detailed drawings shall be used for a refresher training in practical plumbing characterized by; New Connection process, Standard New Connection materials, Standard New Connection tools, Required PPE during New Connection, Reasons for Disconnection, Methods of Disconnection, Practical disconnection, Installation of network fixtures and, Pressure testing.

Upon completion, the exercise will recharge new skills and efficiency of the NWSC field teams as the corporation continues with its quest for water for all.

The training is also in line with the Corporation’s ongoing skilling mandate under its new Corporate Plan
