Over the weekend, the Kamwokya central zone community held a meeting to address any concerns affiliated to all prepaid and public standpipe (PSP) meters in the area.
Spearheaded by the manager Urban Poor, Mr Siragi Basajja coupled with the LC Chairman, Mr. Kakooza James, the engagement saw to the request of the community to desist from chambering prepaid meters with padlocks since they are meant for the community.
Mr. Basajja promised to relocate all prepaid meters that are enclosed in people’s gates and advised the community to be fair when charging prices considering that the water given to them is very subsidized.
Later, the Sub-Branch Manager-Kamwokya, Ms. Grace Chloe Namukwaya appreciated the community for the vigilance in always reporting all matters relating to NWSC (from leakages, no water, new connections etc,) and cautioned the community against indulging in illegal connections.
There was a Q&A session where our customers were fully left satisfied and equipped with knowledge of NWSC’s operations.
