The National Water and Sewerage Corporation’s Green Tree-volution is one of the country’s biggest tree planting campaigns aimed at taking corrective measures to aid ecological sustainability and manage natural resources appropriately. The campaign is to see to the planting of at least 10Million trees by 2023 under the theme, “A Tree Planted, a future Granted”.

To this end, Kampala Water’s 5th Cohort of the ongoing Military refresher cadre training weighed in on the corporation’s go-green campaign in favor of, and planted over 500 trees.

Each cadre was tasked with planting 5 trees each as well as the Uganda People’s Defense Force (UPDF) trainers in accompaniment.

The campaign is progressing rather well all-over the country. It is to run in two phases and happens to be in the 2nd chapter of the first phase. Notably, a minimum of 5 million trees are to be planted in each phase.
