NWSC TO SERVE OVER 400 RESIDENTS IN KABINGO – KAMWENGE AFTER KABINGO PIPED WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION SYSTEM TAKE-OVER

It was a day of jubilation on 12th May 2022 as the Kabingo Piped Water Supply and Sanitation System was commissioned and handed over to the National Water and Sewerage Corporation to serve over 400 people in Kabingo-Kamwenge.

The 7 Billion solar run system, was contracted to Royal Techno Industries Ltd and comprises of six pumping stations that total to 40m³/hr and 150m³ steel reservoir serving 348 connections.

The ceremony was attended by the Assistant Commissioner of the Sewerage Services Division-Ministry of Water and Environment, Eng. Felix Twinomucunguzi and other Ministry Officials, Kamwenge District RDC-Mr. Isaiah Byarugaba Kanyamahane, Kamwenge District LCV Chairperson-Mr. Joseph Karungi, Water for People Country Director-Mrs. Brenda Achiro, Kabingo Local Leadership, Kamwenge District Technical Staff, NWSC, Kabingo residents and more.

NWSC pledged to take good care of the system as they strive to delight customers in Kabingo Sub-County.
