NWSC TAKES PART IN KOREA KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE PROGRAM

The National Water and Sewerage Corporation’s Deputy Managing Director of Technical Services, Eng. Johnson Amayo represented the corporation at the Korea knowledge exchange program on 22nd November 2022 in Korea. 

The program, aimed at improving integrated planning, policy, and strategy formulation on waste management in the Greater Kampala Metropolitan area attracted other participants from the Government of Uganda i.e Ministry of Lands, National Planning Authority, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Water and Environment, and the National Water and Sewerage Corporation, and was sponsored by Global Green Institute with funding from KOICA Korea-Uganda Office.

Eng. Amayo noted that the meeting has provided an opportunity for NWSC to benchmark on the “next utility” infrastructure plans for better service delivery in Uganda.

The team also met with the Korea Water and Wastewater Works Association for knowledge-sharing sessions.
