“The main objective of partnerships is the true synergy of one plus one equals five instead of two”, Schnurr.
A partnership could mean your business will have access to new products, reach a new market, block a competitor or increase customer loyalty. Some prefer to use partnerships to strengthen weak aspects of their business on top of attaining a wider customer base.
The National Water and Sewerage Corporation understands the value of strategic partnerships which explains why the corporation’s Finance Department went on to recognize and appreciate E-payment partners as it continues to celebrate 50 years of service delivery.
Hosted at the NWSC’s International Resource Center (IREC), the event was characterized by an awarding ceremony with the partners categorized into 5 categories thus; Prepaid, Mobile Money, Banking, Special Recognition Award and the Overall Winner.
The Senior Manager Finance and Accounts, Mr. Silver Emudong who was representing the Director Finance, acknowledged the partners for being part of the corporation’s success journey over the years. The Director Information & Business Solutions, Eng. Jude Mwoga expressed, “We value the partnerships that we have with you and your effective presence is a clear testimony that you also value the relationship we have together, and of course, ultimately the customers that we serve.
Eng. Jude encouraged the partners to continue working together with the corporation, innovate and adapt as demand changes so that the corporation gives the customers a better experience, and, win more trust and confidence from them. He also emphasized that the partnerships should contribute to shareholder value in the different categories thus; the banks, prepaid or mobile money and that they should not only be for the short or mid but for the long term because water and sanitation services are in perpetuity and their sustainability is essential.
Eng. Jude also stressed that there is need for continued engagement with the partners especially the banks because there is an increasing need for the corporation to tap from the market finance to enable it manage its infrastructure investments.
