NWSC joined the likes of UMEME, URA and UIA at the Afro Indian Investment Summit that took place from 17th to 18th November 2022 at the Munyonyo commonwealth resort under the theme “Investment in Uganda for inclusive prosperity”.

The two-day event was a centennial celebration of 100 years of the India association and community in Uganda and it comes at a time where India is a second source of investment in the country.

The chief guest, His excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni applauded the Indian community for creating jobs for Ugandans, noting that Uganda’s economy is growing because investors pay taxes through buying raw materials, paying for utilities such as water, electricity, labor among others. He encouraged investors to tap into other areas of opportunity like fertilizers, electric batteries, and assured them of a peaceful working environment.

The state Minister of Finance for Investment and Privatization Hon. Evelyn Anite, commended India for being a strong and reliable partner in Uganda’s quest for economic transformation.

On behalf of the Indian Association Uganda, Mr. Mohan Rao with great pleasure appreciated the NRM government for promoting peace and stability.

The NWSC team interacted closely with stakeholders and registered several compliments in regards to customer care, professionalism and quick response to issues raised.
