Compelled by the need to strengthen inter-agency coordination and improve operational efficiency, the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) Moyo Area has tasked itself with strategic courtesy visits to key institutions in the district.

Led by Area Manager, Mr. Arima Isa and accompanied by the Area Engineer, the team visited the Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL) Moyo Area and Moyo General Hospital, who they engaged with the aim of fostering mutual understanding and identifying areas for collaboration that support the seamless delivery of public services.

At Moyo General Hospital, discussions centered on the integration of staff quarters into the NWSC water service grid, so as to ensure reliable and uninterrupted access to water for health personnel. The team also explored the need for streamlined communication between the hospital and NWSC, especially around service operations and planned maintenance.

Meanwhile, the visit to UEDCL focused on minimizing power interruptions that often affect NWSC pumping operations. Both institutions acknowledged the importance of coordinated planning and timely information sharing to reduce downtime and improve service delivery to residents.

The Senior Administrator of Moyo General Hospital and the UEDCL Moyo Area Manager welcomed NWSC’s outreach and expressed commitment to enhanced collaboration.
