Life without access to clean safe water is rather unfathomable.

To fulfill this basic human need, National Water and Sewerage Corporation’s (NWSC) Masaka Area team, under the stewardship of the Area General Manager, Eng. Mujuni has extended water supply services to the 12 villages of Nabinene, Kyanjala, Kyamuhiimbwa, Kagezi, Bukoowe, Kabonera Trading centers and the surrounding areas. This comes after a recent plea from the area’s Member of Parliament, Hon. Dr. Abed Bwanika to improve water supply and extend it to the unserved population in the Kimaanya-Kabonero constituency.

The extension was commissioned by the leader of opposition in Parliament Hon. Matthias Mpuga. Speaking at the event, Hon. Mpuga thanked NWSC management for stepping up service delivery across the country and setting a worthy example to be emulated by all government entities. He pledged to continue supporting NWSC in their bid to extend services to other areas.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by other dignitaries inclusive of Hon. Florence Namanja Mayor Masaka City, Katende Ronald RCC Masaka City, Deputy City Clerk Mr. Emmanuel Gakyaro, City Engineer Mr. Turibarungi, Mayor Kimanya-Kabonera Division, LC 3 Councilors, the respective LC1 Chairmen, and NWSC Area staff.

NWSC remains committed to Water for All.
