While UMEME is indulged in the network development to improve electricity supply in Entebbe Municipality and the surrounding areas, NWSC-Entebbe Area saw an opportunity to escalate water supply reliability in the area.

This, the Entebbe Area team led by the Acting General Manager – NWSC Entebbe Area, Emmanuel Mujuni tackled by offering land for the establishment of a substation in Nakasamba-Entebbe next to the Entebbe water treatment plant.

Early this week, both utilities, the Entebbe Town Clerk, Mr. Charles Magumba and Managing Director – Uganda Wildlife Education Center, Dr. James Musinguzi witnessed the ground breaking and site handover to UMEME with assurance from Uganda’s main electricity distribution company that the project may be finalized by December 2021.

With this development, NWSC customers will be assured of constant water supply in addition to the already installed higher capacity and more efficient water pumps. NWSC remains Committed to Water for All, for a delighted customer by a delighted workforce.
