A delegation from KW, including the General Manager, UPPB Manager, and UPPB Engineer, convened a meeting with representatives from the Rotary Club of Kigo and CEFOVID. This was to address the pressing water-related issues faced by the residents of Lubya and Kosovo, two informal settlements within Rubaga Division.

During the meeting, the Rotarians provided insights into their rationale for selecting these specific locations for the installation of PSPs. The key concerns highlighted included distance, community overcrowding, and the affordability of water per Jerry can.

While expressing appreciation for this commendable initiative, GM KW Mahmood Lutaya stressed the importance of focusing the project on gaining a thorough understanding of the unique challenges experienced by the people in these settlements.

Additionally, he took the opportunity to offer information on NWSC’s prepaid water system, explaining its advantages and potential benefits compared to the PSPs.

This collaboration signifies a significant step forward in addressing the water needs of residents in Lubya and Kosovo communities, and the commitment of NWSC, Rotary Club of Kigo, and CEFOVID to making a meaningful impact on their lives.
