Nakawa Branch, under the leadership of Daniel Mugoya, coupled with the Sub-Branch Manager- Juliana, recently collaborated with Commercial Officer-Steven from Luzira Branch and Manager Urban Pro-Poor- Ms. Evelyn Poor in a stakeholder engagement workshop organized by CIDI. The primary objective? To bolster water supply initiatives and champion the crucial aspects of WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) in Nakawa Division.

This workshop brought together key stakeholders, including Nakawa East MP Ronald Balimwezo, who lauded NWSC’s pivotal role in ensuring the availability and quality of water. The discussions involved a wide spectrum of participants, from the Division Speaker and Town Clerk to MoE representatives, School Management Committees, Head teachers, and leaders of the Youth Advocacy Structure. They collectively underscored the profound impact of water supply on WASH activities in the region.

Nakawa Branch didn’t just show up; they delivered a comprehensive presentation that probed into critical areas such as addressing leakages, preventing vandalism, assessing the impact of roadworks, tackling NRW (Non-Revenue Water) challenges, elucidating tariff details, enhancing customer service, maintaining prepaid meters, and ensuring meter sufficiency.

Their unwavering commitment to effective and sustainable operations, particularly in the realm of water supply, through robust community partnerships is nothing short of commendable.
