The National Water and Sewerage Corporation’s Kisoro Area Manager, Peter Ariho and the area’s Commercial team recently had the chance to meet the Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs, Hon. Sarah Mateke Nyirabashitsi who also happens to be the Kisoro District Woman Member of Parliament.

During their interaction, they discussed the various pipe extension projects underway and planned for the district. Mr. Ariho shared details of the 41km of pipe extensions to be laid in the current fiscal year, which will bring clean, reliable water to 32 unserved villages. He also shared plans for an additional 37km of pipe extensions in the area.

In addition to these projects, the team discussed the Water Supply Sanitation Plan for Kigezi Village, which includes the construction of a masonry reservoir and booster station to improve the water supply in the area. The Minister expressed her support for the Corporation’s efforts to bring water to all in Kisoro District and recognized the significant progress the team has made towards this important goal.

The dedication of the Kisoro Area team is evidence that the goal of providing water for all in Uganda as outlined in the Corporate Agenda is well on its way to being achieved.

NWSC is committed to Water for All, for a delighted customer by a delighted workforce.
