National Water and Sewerage Corporation, has once again proven its commitment to effective leadership and expansion. In a recent move, the corporation’s Top Management has established a new Zone in the Kampala Water region, making it a total of four zones. This development comes as a testament to the company’s promise of growth and improved service delivery. The newly created Central Business District (CBD) Zone, alongside the existing Central, Western, and Eastern Zones, signifies an exciting chapter for both the organization and its dedicated workforce.
To oversee the operations of the CBD Zone, Kampala Water has appointed Ms. Annet Kukunda, the former Branch Manager of the highly successful Kansanga Branch. With an impressive track record and a deep understanding of the region’s operations, Ms. Kukunda brings her expertise and experience to her new role as the Senior Manager-CBD. Notably, she has pledged to lead with a servant leadership approach, emphasizing collaboration, support, and empowerment for all branch managers under her umbrella.
Earlier today after handing over the Kansanga office to her successor, Ms. Kukunda expressed her utter gratitude towards the Kansanga team for always delivering and exceptional performance and to the City Center branch, for working so hard as to create a new zone that has propelled her to unimaginable heights.
The Acting General Manager, Ms. Sara Namuwenge in her address, called for teamwork and reminded the teams to collectively battle Non-Revenue Water in the greater Kampala Metropolitan.
“As we embark on a new chapter with the establishment of the CBD Zone, it is imperative that we emphasize the need for teamwork and tireless efforts towards growth and success. This new zone presents us with unique opportunities to improve service delivery and reduce Non-Revenue Water in Kampala Water”, stated Ms. Namuwenge.
She added that it is important to recognize that this endeavor requires a collective effort from each and every one. “By working together and sharing expertise and experiences, we can optimize workflows and allocate resources more effectively. This will allow us to provide efficient services”
