GULU CITY MAYOR STRENGTHENS COLLABORATION WITH NWSC FOR CITY MAINTENANCE

Gulu City Mayor, Mr. Okwonga Alfred, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Fred Busingye, the Area Manager-Gulu with the aim of discussing and enhancing collaboration in maintaining the city. 

During the meeting, the Mayor praised NWSC’s leadership and outstanding initiatives in environmental conservation, as well as their commitment to maintaining their facilities.

Mr. Busingye expressed his support for Gulu City and his willingness to work closely with the Mayor’s office. He also highlighted the Corporation’s ongoing efforts to ensure the city remains clean and inviting.

In preparation for the upcoming International Museum Day celebrations in Gulu City, the Mayor and the Area Manager participated in a tree planting exercise organized by the Mayor at Kaunda grounds. This activity was part of the week-long museum festivities.

Additionally, the Mayor and Area Manager met with one of the women’s groups responsible for keeping the city streets clean and free of litter and other trash. They had the opportunity to interact with the group and learn about their efforts firsthand.

With this visit and collaborative efforts, Gulu City aims to enhance its maintenance and cleanliness standards, creating a more appealing environment for residents and visitors alike.
