King’s College Budo and neighbouring communities may soon breathe a sigh of relief following fresh efforts by the National Water and Sewerage Corporation’s (NWSC) Kyengera branch to improve water supply in the area.

This comes after the Kyengera Branch team, on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025, completed the installation of a pump and the fabrication of delivery lines at the Nansove-Buddo outlet.

Led by Branch Manager Douglas Kukundakwe and Branch Engineer Eng. Kiiza, working in close coordination with technical teams from the Ggaba Water Production Plant, the works are expected to enhance water flow to the institution and the surrounding neighbourhoods.

While the activity stretched into the evening, Kukundakwe confirmed that testing of the system will begin today, April 17th, 2025, to assess its functionality and confirm whether the upgraded setup can deliver water through existing fittings smoothly and consistently.

If all goes according to plan, the intervention could be a game-changer for Budo and its surrounding areas, where intermittent supply has been a recurring concern.
