ARUA PRISONS HEAVE SIGH OF RELIEF AFTER SEWER MAIN CONNECTIVITY COMMENCES

The sewer line linked to the Arua Prisons had become a nuisance to the Prison’s authorities and inmates, one would assume. Well, this pain in the neck was as a result of constant blockage in the channels to which the Arua team responded by storming the prison’s grounds and taking immediate action.

An excellent job was done by the sewer team on Eid al-Adha with the support of Area Manager-Arua and SAO to unblock the sewer but intended to come up with a long term and sustainable solution to the problem.

Against that background, the Area Manager accompanied by the Human Resource Officer, Area
Engineer and the sewer team visited the territory again, mapped out and identified the stretch to be excavated to enable direct sewer connectivity to Ediofe Prisons sewer lagoon.

After consultation with the technicians and prisons authorities, a position was agreed and excavation works kicked off immediately to enable sewer pipes laying and minimize any future blockage.

The Area Manager further acknowledged the contributions of the sewer component to the business
growth and she promised the needed support to the sewer team. A relief to the prisons’ occupants and surrounding areas.
