KAMPALA WATER CASUAL WORKERS UNDERGO NRW TRAINING

The Senior Manager Water Supply, Eng. Francis Kateeba, conducted an educational session for casual workers at 6th street Kampala Water officers with the aim of sensitizing them on all things Non-Revenue Water and making known how best they can contribute to the success of the fight against it.  

The three (3) hour long engagement was characterized by; Introduction to Non-Revenue Water (NRW) thus understanding the concept of NRW, its causes and the impact it can have on the financial and operational performance of a water utility, Identification and Measurement of NRW, reduction strategies, management tools, and best implementation practices

Impressively, this initiative is part of Eng. Kateeba’s contribution to Kampala Water’s 32 Billion dream by mitigating factors that lead to NRW.

During the session, the Human Resource Manager, Mr. Julius Oyet, committed himself to providing the staff with safety materials to ensure their safety at the workplace. 

Also present during the training were; Network Managers; Western Zone – Moses Nandigobe, Central Zone – Sharon Karungi, and the Union Representative – Samuel Owor.
