Ms. Edith Nabagereka, the Manager City Center, has been actively engaging with key stakeholders, VIPs, and Big Consumers in the Central Business District.

In her quest to achieve the 8 billion target without relying on government collections, Edith has developed a comprehensive plan that involves upgrading old network lines for efficiency gains, extending supply to water-stressed areas, improving meter functionality, intensifying night and weekend operations to combat theft and meter removal, and conducting routine investigations of tariffs to ensure fair and accurate billing for all customers.

These measures are aimed at improving the sustainability of the branch and ensuring that all customers have a stable water supply.

During her recent visits, she and her team visited key accounts such as the Chief Justice’s office, Ruparelia Group, HAM Enterprises, Mosa Courts, J.B Muwonge, Taheri Properties, select arcades, and Aya Investments, that account for over 33% of the branch’s non-government revenue portfolio. Through these engagements, a collection of 92m with Arrears Payment Agreement of 18m was realized.

The fact-finding visit to the Central Business District has set the pace for the implementation of Edith’s plans to achieve the Branch’s targets and improve the overall effectiveness of City Center’s operations.
