The Manager Bwaise Branch, Ms. Christine Awino, presented the programme’s objective and expected achievements thus; the objective of this programme in the next two days, is to; To reduce the number of suppressed accounts (4,266 accounts) by 12.5% by end of April 2023, and reduce arrears from 1.5B to 1.3B.
Bwaise Branch wholly expects; to un-suppress 60 suppressed customers, revenue collection of 200m, to sell 1,000m3 from the 60 customers unsuppressed, to submit at least 300 customers for bad debt write off, targeting 500m, to submit 500 customers to the Legal department for further legal action, visit 1,000 suppressed accounts and handle at least 50 customers during the 2-day legal aid clinic which commenced today.
The Sub-Branch Manager Maganjo, Swithin Busingye appreciated the Bwaise teams for brainstorming and coming up with the programme that is bound to significantly contribute to business growth in the Western Zone.
“In this new program, we are saying that customers should not “Kusemba Nakyo” and should come and we settle the issue of high erroneous bills, huge fines, bills due to leakage after the meter, inherited bills, bills due to loss of a loved ones, among others. Tosemba Nakyo will go a long way in handling all suppressed customers who had abandoned NWSC services due to such disputes.
