KAMPALA WATER PARTICIPATES IN UPDF’S TAREHE SITA CELEBRATIONS

The Ugandan People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) annually celebrates Tarehe Sita with a series of community-focused activities, aimed at promoting hygiene and cleanliness. In line with the 42nd Tarehe Sita celebrations, the UPDF joined forces with Kampala Water’s Kisenyi Sub-Branch team and local leaders to conduct a cleaning initiative in Kisenyi on 3.01.2023. 

Tarehe Sita is a celebration of togetherness between the forces and citizens, and is an opportunity to remind the country of the importance of continued efforts towards a better future. The event includes activities such as community cleaning, tree planting, and the provision of clean water.

Representatives from the KW-Urban Pro Poor Branch, City center team (Kisenyi sub-branch), and local leaders of Kisenyi participated in the initiative, emphasizing the significance of collective efforts in creating a clean and healthy community. 

The Tarehe Sita celebrations and activities are a testament to the UPDF’s commitment to serving the nation and working towards a better future for all citizens, NWSC can relate with her commitment to serving the people of Uganda and achieving the promise of “Water for All”.
