The case of Lusango-Kalungu, is something to write home about. A town that had never had a piped water system is bound to enjoy clean, safe, taped water following NWSC’s takeover of the Town and the ongoing new piped water supply project.

The Lusango Project is being executed in two Phases. Phase one, which was technically commissioned early this year, entailed development of 2 new boreholes, laying of 3.6km transmission mains, construction of 100m3 reservoir, and a 30km distribution network.

While inspecting the works, the Deputy Managing Director-Technical Services, Eng. Johnson Amayo, flanked by the Director Regional Operations, Eng. Edmond Okaronon, noted that the works are indeed substantially complete and undergoing testing.

The entourage was informed that the major outstanding work remaining involves the supply and installation of the new pumps. In the meantime, the system is being tested using some pumps secured from Static Plant.

NWSC is committed to “Water for All”.
