NWSC BOARD INSPECT OPERATIONS & PLEDGE SUPPORT

John F Kennedy, former US president once said Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other. Fuelled by a similar work ethic, the NWSC Board of Directors led by Chairperson – Eng. Dr. Prof Hajji Badru Kiggundu Board Chairman embarked on two-day tour Soroti and Kaberamaido areas.  Accompanied by 

The much anticipated visit started off in Soroti where they were welcomed by the Area Manager Lenny Otai. Flanked by the Area Engineer, Martin Odeke, they toured the Awoja Water Works. And challenges faced in the area. Following this, the board then headed to Kaberamaido for a familiarization tour of the areas and its projects. Starting off at the Kalaki Booster in Kalaki District, the team then headed to the area main office block in Kaberamaido Town Council before heading to the see the reservoir tanks. Charged up, the board then visited the Asamuk Pump house & Borehole, the Asamuk Reservoir tank in Asamuk Sub-county in Amuria District and the Alem & Asamuk  solar schemes which are under the ATWATSAN Project. 

Armed with hands on knowledge of operations in the areas visited, the Board left better equipped to carry out their oversight and management role. 

The board was joined by the Director Engineering services- Eng. Alex Gisagara and Senior Manager Operations Eastern region- Emmanuel Ekanya and a handful of members from Kampala.
