House to house operations have returned and this time, the Sewerage department is on board. This is in a bid to demand for creation of sewer services in areas where the network has been placed and to fight illegal water use.
The first edition of the operations commenced in July, with the sole purpose of handling all anomalies in the field affecting business growth. A good number of illegal water use were reported, engagement with customers built rapport, customers were sensitized and encouraged to pay their bills. It is safe to say that the operations yielded the intended result.
The second edition of the operations will see more engagement from the sewerage department and Water Quality teams who will investigate all alternative water use and rule out any illegalities. This has so far taken place in Nakulabye, Kanyanya, Masanafu, and Bunga branches.
